What the future holds...

This is a personal post and the starting of a new chapter in my life. I’m moving into uncharted territory and it is both exciting and terrifying. My mentor calls this feeling TERRICITED.

Almost weekly, I get women founders and entrepreneurs reaching out to me asking to pick my brain about building and scaling their business. Some even want to switch to a completely new niche - serving a new set of clients. Others are done with coaches who promise them the world and don’t deliver on their promise.

This baffled me because I was firmly in my life-long chosen field - aging and senior care. It’s where my origin story began, it’s where my heart sang, and it has served me well throughout my career. My sights were set on disrupting the field and helping to create a new vision of the future for older people and those who care for them. My heart still aches for that outcome and yet I know there are fantastic leaders emerging that will do just that. 

This helped me to realize that I have completed my work there. I made a difference in the places I was meant to make a difference. I have been touched by so many lives in that space and many of my close friends are still there. I can support and cheer them from the sidelines now. 

A few months ago, I was deep in prayer when I felt a pull into helping the women who were actually calling on me for advice. They have been watching me start a new business and get wins that I was extremely proud of. They watched me experiment with things that didn’t work out and yet I kept going. I learned from each experiment and made the next version better. I have been inspiring these women without even realizing it. 

In June, I dipped my toe into serving women founders and entrepreneurs. Something began to unfold for me. It was a new vision of my future where I was able to support women founders to rise above treading water and inspire them to become bold and magnetic leaders that dominate the industry or field they are in. 

In the industry, we call this a niche switch. I call it a bright future where a new passion is unfolding that I have been uniquely called to. Every step in aging brought me to this place. I know there are many successful women out there already doing the same thing AND I know that none of them will do it just like me. 

For all of my aging friends who are reading this, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your support over the years. I love you and will always be here for you. 

For all of the women reading this who have or will found their business doing the work that lights up their heart, I look forward to meeting you! Maybe we can work together some day and I can’t wait!
